Autopsy of a 78-year-old male demonstrates decreased left ventricular cavity size and a sigmoid-shaped ventricular septum. Light microscopy reveals increased collagenized connective tissue content of the ventricular wall. Some myocardial cells have golden-brownish perinuclear cytoplasmic inclusions.
